Addison

Addison, Texas.  The Town of Addison, actually a city, is a suburb bordering North Dallas.  The city's vision statement is:

"To be an attractive, thriving community that delivers the 'Addison Way' with superior services, enhanced sense of community, and a safe, high-quality experience for residents, businesses, visitors, and all other stakeholders. Addison will lead the way in creativity, innovation and fiscal responsibility within a culture of excellence and kindness."

Addison is a dynamic city, but can be overlooked by commuters traveling to and from Dallas.

However, Addison has a unique dynamic which makes it an attractive place to visit, work and live.  I have visited the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison Airport and taken my grand daughter to picnic near the runway to watch planes taxi, land a takeoff.  It is a remarkable experience.

Addison has a wide variety of restaurants especially along Beltline Road.

Its Water Tower Theatre is well known for its productions.

Addison is host to several events year round.

It has a wonderful 4th of July fireworks display.  People camp out all day or make reservations at local restaurants to insure a spot with great visibility.
